Lynmouth Harbour

Lynmouth Harbour - Exmoor
On the highest Hightide and with the tide still rising, spills over the harbour wall at Lynmouth, Devon. Luckly calm weather during the week of tides no damage was caused on the southwest coast which was the total opposite with the storms of Jan/feb 2014 hightides. The Rhenish Tower was originally built t o store salt water for indoor baths. It was later fitted with a light to act as a beacon above the harbour. The current structure is an exact replica constructed following damage in the devastating 1952 floods.
