With a hint of the first of the year frost covered by silky mist whilst the morning light fills the moorland at Winsford hill, Exmoor.
Winsford Common is situated in a hollow in the surrounding countryside (which itself is within a valley), somewhat akin in shape to that of a punch bowl, and thus has gained the name of The Punchbowl.
